The challenge: 20+ properties, all needing flawless wireless

The Royal Freemasons have spared nothing when it comes to their resident and staff wireless networks. Liveport completed wireless designs for 20+ properties, working alongside their IT team to deliver networks that perform flawlessly across every room.

Predictive wireless design for seamless roaming

Using Cisco 3800 access points and the latest 4800s, Liveport built Predictive Wireless Designs that deliver seamless roaming for Cisco VOIP phones and Location Tracking services that meet Cisco design standards. To put things in perspective, some aged care homes used 130+ wireless access points, and it was our job to make sure they all play nice with each other. Auto Channels was not an option.

Why a 5GHz-only network mattered

Designing a 5GHz-only network allowed us to turn off the 2.4GHz radios, which maximises throughput, minimises co-channel interference, and improves the end-user experience across the board.

Validation surveys: room by room

Once the Predictive Wireless Designs were complete, we visited each property to run Validation Surveys. Using our wireless engineering equipment, our techs walked every building measuring the radio frequencies along the way. Walking into every room shows us exactly how the wireless network is performing throughout the property. After analysing Signal Strength, Co-channel interference, Adjacent channel interference, Spectrum Analysis and more, we made changes before handing networks over for production use.
